NCL Bags Best Green Business Leader of the Year Award
New Delhi: Northern Coalfields Limited, has bagged prestigious 'Best Green Business Leader of the Year' award for its robust environmental excellence framework and adoption of the wide range of environmental conservation measures. The Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Government of India, Shri Suresh Prabhu presented the award to CMD NCL Shri P.K. Sinha on Tuesday.
The award was conferred on NCL by 'Green India Awards 2018' held in ‘World Environment Conference’ under the aegis of ‘World Environment Expo' (WEE2018) organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from June 5 to June 7, 2018.
NCL has also set up a pavilion at the World Environment Expo-2018. Shri P.K. Sinha, CMD NCL, inaugurated the pavilion on 5th June 2018. In its pavilion, the company has exhibited various activities backing its ideology of sustainable development through various print and digital mediums. In view of the annual theme of World Environment Day 2018- 'Beat Plastic Pollution', NCL is also spreading awareness about ill effects of polythene usage through its pavilion.
World Environment Expo, the three-day event organized by Green Society of India, is witnessing active participation from various national-international companies, government and private organizations.
