POWERGRID VISHRAM SADAN at PATNA Inaugurated for generaI public
Patna. POWERGRID VISHRAM SADAN was inaugurated by Shri R.K. Singh, Union Minister of State (IC) for Power, New and Renewable Energy and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Bihar’s Energy Minister, Shri Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Health Minister, Shri Mangal Pandey were also present at the event. After inaugurating the Vishram Sadan, 10 Advanced Life Support Ambulances were flagged off by Shri R.K. Singh, which are being given under the CSR effort by POWERGRID and will be distributed by the State Health Society in various districts of Bihar.
It is worth mentioning that the foundation of this welfare project of POWERGRID VISHRAM SADAN was laid by Shri R.K. Singh on 13 April 2018 and in just 18 months (one and a half years) POWERGRIDcompleted the construction of Vishram Sadan.
Addressing the audience on this occasion, Shri R.K. Singh appreciated the noble effort of POWERGRID and said, “Poor people from different far flung areas of Bihar will be benefited from this POWERGRID Vishram Sadan.” He also talked about the strong power scenario in the country and commendable efforts made by Government of India to provide affordable power to all.
The POWERGRID Vishram Sadan has been built in an area of 5420 square meters, with a capacity of 256 beds and has been built at a cost of about Rs. 15 crores.
About 3000 patients are treated daily at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, with whom theirfamilies come for support and care. With POWERGRID VISHRAM SADAN, the patients and their familiescoming from remote districts, villages and districts of Bihar shall get access to accommodation arrangements for their stay.
