IRCTC Mizoram Tourism Deptt sign MoU to promote tourism in north-eastern state
New Delhi, Dec 5: In a sustained bid to promote tourism activities in the North-Eastern states, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) and the Mizoram government have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which seeks to provide a range of hospitality and tourism services to tourists visiting the state through joint efforts.
The agreement, signed at Aizwal on 03.12.2016, is aimed at boosting tourism activities in Mizoram which is endowed with unexplored scenic beauty. IRCTC will project and promote the tourism destinations of Mizoram while the state’s Tourism Department will provide quality tourism services to the tourists.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Alok N. Mathur, Group General Manager (Tourism), IRCTC, New Delhi and Mr. V Lalremthanga, Secretary (Tourism) Govt. of Mizoram. Officers of both the organisations were present on the occasion.
