Madhya Pradesh govt demands air cargo facility at Indore
BhopalMadhya Pradesh government today said it had demanded an air cargo facility at Indore to facilitate exports from the state.
"Indore is the commercial capital of the state. Today, at the meeting of Council for Trade Promotion and Development in Delhi, I urged the Centre to take up the issue of air cargo facility at Indore," state Industry Minister Rajendra Shukla told PTI.
The meeting was presided over by Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman. Pharmaceutical products, auto components, chemicals and clothes are exported on a large scale from Indore region, Shukla said.
"The cargo facility would further benefit the state as the business is growing....The average growth rate of the state during past two years was more than 10 per cent," he added. Shukla informed in the meeting that MP Government had also set up five inland container depots.
