Energy Efficiency to invest Rs 1,000 cr in AP
HYDRABAD: Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has earmarked Rs 1,000 crore towards energy conservation and efficiency measures in Andhra Pradesh. “A three-member team from EESL has assured an investment of around Rs 1,000-crore over a period of 2-3 years as part of the energy conservation activities initiated by the government of Andhra Pradesh,” a state government release stated. EESL is jointly promoted by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, NTPC, REC and PFC with equal equity participation for implementation of energy efficiency projects in India and abroad.
