AAI to construct toilets in 35 govt girls schools


Bhubaneswar .  Toilets would be constructed in government girls schools in the state by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. These toilets would be maintained by the AAI for two years.

 

With the assistance of State Department of School Education, 35 government schools have been identified in Odisha. The construction work will begin in January and completed by March. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 87.5 lakh.

 

The AAI professionals will visit the schools soon to ascertain the requirements following which tenders would be floated.

 

The spending would be from MP Local Area Development funds, budgets of the State Governments and the CSR activities of the corporate sector. AAI has allocated Rs 20 crore for this countrywide project.
