MCL Awarded for ‘HR Best Practices ’
KOLKATA. Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, conferred the Best HR Practices Award 2014 insitituted by the National Institute of Personnel Management. The award was presented by Sri P.A.Sangma, MP & former speaker, Lok Sabha to Sri A.N.Sahay, CMD ,alongwith Sri P.C.Panigrahi, Director(Personnel) in the presence of International Management Guru Mr Michael A Potter of United Kingdom at the Convention Hall, Science City, Kolkata.
Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, a Mini Ratna company was adjudged the winner in Category ‘A’ (for organizations having more than 2,500 employees) of HR Best Practices Award .
The MCL has initiated an innovative scheme wherein non trained land losers being employed under the R&R Policy by the company are sent for a 2 years technical skill development course at the company’s cost after which they would be absorbed as skilled manpower in their respective cadres.
