REC to set up Sanitation and Water facilities in 40 Schools
NEW DELHI . Navratna CPSE, Rural Electrification Corporation Limited launched a Project for setting up sanitation and water facilities in 40 nos. of Government Senior Secondary & High Schools in Varanasi and Bulandshahrdistricts in Uttar Pradesh and Bhabua district in Bihar under its CSR initiatives, in support of the GoI initiatives for a Swachch Bharat.
The exchange of Memorandum of Agreement in this regard took place in New Delhi on 5thSeptember 2014 between Shri Ajeet Agarwal, Director (Finance), REC, and Shri S.P.Singh, Chairman, Sulabh International, in the presence of Shri Rajeev Sharma, CMD, REC, Shri SujoyMajumdar, Director, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation,GoI, and senior officials of REC and Sulabh International.
