ALIMCO signs MoU with RECL for implementing their CSR-Project
New Delhi . An agreement has been inked between Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation Of India (ALIMCO), and , Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd. for the second consecutive year for the provision of assessment and distribution of Aids and Appliances to the Persons with Disabilities on31st January 2014 at RECL’s corporate headquarter in New Delhi.
The agreement valuing Rs.350 Lakh for RECL’s CSR initiative, to implement the project for the purpose of providing Aids and Assistive devices to Persons with Disabilities(PwDs) and other differently able population from economically weaker section of Society is in continuation with similar projects successfully completed earlier .
The agreement was signed byLt. Col (Retd.) P K Dube, GM, ALIMCO and Shri P.J. Thakkar Director(Technical), REC in the t presence of Shri Rajeev Sharma CMD, REC, Shri Ajeet Agarwal Director (Finance) and Shri G Narayan Rao, CMD , ALIMCO. Shri Awanish Awasthi, IAS, Joint Secretary, Department of Disability affairs, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment was present to grace the occasion. Also present on the occasion were Mr.Rakesh Arora, GM (Finance), REC alongwith gentry of officials from REC, headquarter.
Shri G.Narayan Rao, CMD, ALIMCO has apprritiated REC's c inititative and praised dedicated team of ALIMCO’s personnel . whose hard work has also established its presence in National and International arena in disability. ALIMCO which has recently appeared in the list of 27 National Champion PSU.
