Air India extends Rajdhani fare scheme to seven more sectors

NEW DELHI: Air India (AI) has decided to add seven more routes to its spot fare scheme wherein the airline is offering unsold seats at Rajdhani AC II-tier rates in the four hours leading to flight departure. 
 
The routes that have been added include Delhi-Ranchi-Delhi, Delhi-Ahmedabad-Delhi, Delhi-Hyderabad-Delhi, Delhi-Bhubaneshwar-Delhi, Delhi-Goa-Delhi, Delhi-Patna–Delhi and Delhi-Raipur-Delhi. 
 
The scheme, which started on July 10, initially applied to key metro routes of Delhi-Mumbai, Delhi-Chennai, Delhi-Bengaluru and Delhi-Kolkata. “On account of popular response and with an aim to enhance growth the scheme has been extended to other sectors,” said an AI official. 
 
“The ticket fares on these routes will be: Rs 2,770 for Delhi-Ranchi,Rs 2,270 for Delhi-Ahmedabad, Rs 3,275 for Delhi-Hyderabad, Rs 3,475 for Delhi-Bhubaneshwar,Rs 3,665 for Delhi-Goa, Rs 2,315 for Delhi-Patna and Rs 2,240 for DelhiRaipur,” AI said.
