All business entities should strategically plan need base CSR activities

Bhubaneswar. International Management Institute (IMI),New Delhi & Bhubaneswar organized a 3-day Management Development Programme on Building Corporate Strategy for Effective CSR, at IMI campus, Bhubaneswar, from November 30 , 2016. 
 
Dr. Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD NLC India Limited inaugurated the programme in the presence of Shri P.C. Panigrahi, Advisor, NLC India Ltd & Ex-Director,(HR) ,Mahanadi Coal Fields and Programme Directors of IMI, Dr. Arun Kumar Rath, Dean, Executive Education & International Relations, IMI, New Delhi,Dr. Shailendra Nigam, Associate Professor, IMI, New Delhi, Dr Supriti Mishra, Professor, IMI, Bhubaneswar and Dr. Ramesh Behl, Director, IMI Bhubaneswar 
 
Dr. S.K Acharya, in his inaugural speech stressed that all CPSEs should focus their CSR activities based on the needs of deprived, under privileged, women & differently abled. He emphasized on how during ancient times the kings considered themselves the trustee of the wealth of public and invested the wealth in building roads, canals and temples for larger public good.This is the ancient form of CSR in practice, he added.
