Arvind Panagariya appointed Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog
NEW DELHI. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appointed noted economist Arvind Pangadiya, as the Vice Chairman of the newly constituted NITI AAYOG. With Prime Minister as its head, the panel has replaced the Planning Commission. Economist Bibek Debroy and Former Secretary Defence R&D V.K. Saraswat have been named as the full time members of the Aayog.
Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Suresh Prabhu and Radha Mohan Singh have been named Ex-officio members.Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Thawar Chand Gehlot and Smriti Irani are the special invitees.NITI AAYOG will have all the chief ministers as its members. D D NEWS
