BHEL bags Rs.12,020 crore contract in Karnataka

New Delhi,  Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited  Thursday said it has bagged a project worth Rs.12,020 crore in Karnataka to set-up a Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) on EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) basis.
 
“Valued at Rs.12,020 crore, the order for the 370 MW Gas Turbine-based CCPP to be installed at Yelahanka on the outskirts of Bengaluru city, has been placed on BHEL by Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL). Significantly, this will also be the first gas-based Utility Power Project of KPCL,” the company said in a statement.
