BHEL launches 800 MW turbo generator
Haridwar: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Haridwar, on Wednesday, dispatched country`s first indigenous 800 MW turbo generator to Karnataka power corporation, Raichur, for their Yeramarus thermal power project.
Director (engineering research and development) T R Veerraghavan and executive director (heavy electrical equipment plant) Prakash Chand formally dispatched the generator in a brief ceremony. Senior BHEL officials including executive director (CFFP) N R Edkie, Anil Kapoor and Rajeev Bhatnagar were also present on the occasion.
Congratulating all the BHEL employees, Veerraghavan said, "This has added to the country`s capability of making super critical thermal sets." Prakash Chand attributed the success to BHEL`s skilled and dedicated workforce. Times of India
