BHEL’s Innovative CSR Initiative on Education for Underpriviledged Children
NEW DELHI .Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has undertaken a noble and innovative model of education for children and teachers from poor & underprivileged sections of the society.
This innovative CSR initiative of BHEL that aims to create curiosity and a scientific temper amongst the poor schoolchildren and teachers, primarily drawn from Govt. schools, comprises Mobile Science Labs (MSLs) to be run by the company’s manufacturing units located at Jhansi, Tiruchirapally and Haridwar (one MSL at each of the three units) through an NGO named Agastya International Foundation – a reputed specialised non-profit organisation (NPO) in this unique field of education.
