CIL Donates an Elevator to Red Cross Hospital
Karimganj/Assam: Coal India Limited (CIL), largest coal-producing company in the world and a Maharatna company under Ministry of Coal Government of India, as a new CSR initiative has donated an elevator at the Red Cross Hospital in Karimganj, Assam. Shri J.K. Bora, General Manager, North Eastern Coalfields, a unit of Coal India Limited, which has its headquarters in Margherita in Assam, was present at the inaugural ceremony.
The Red Cross Hospital, Karimganj, Assam is a full fledged 50 bedded Hospital which runs on charity. It has a Maternity & Child Welfare Centre. The Hospital is equipped with three general wards for men, women & children and two operation theatres for the treatment of general patients. It also has an outpatient clinic. The Hospital maintains a full fledged ophthalmic wing with provision for micro surgery.
