CMD NCL Shri P. K. Sinha Inaugurated a New HEMM the Workshop

Singrauli: Krishnashila coal area of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) got its new (HEMM) Heavy Earth Moving Machines workshop on Monday. The CMD of the company Shri P. K. Sinha inaugurated the workshop and graced the event along with Shri Gunadhar Pandey, Director (Technical/Operations), Shri  P. M. Prasad, Director (Technical/Project and Planning), Shri  N.N. Thakur, Director (Finance), Shri  Sarvesh Singh, Secretary, CMOAI and senior trade union representative Shri Arun Dubey and Shri Ashok Dubey.
 
On the occasion, CMD Shri Sinha said Krishnashila project has set new records for coal production, productivity and profitability with limited resources and adverse conditions in a very short span of time and is the pride of NCL today. This area is gradually being equipped with all the necessary facilities and the company management is committed to provide the remaining facilities as soon as possible. He appealed to the workers of the area to keep the new workshop clean and works in compliance with all safety standards.
 
Director (Technical / Operations) Shri Gunadhar Pandey said that the Krishnashila area has emerged as the guide of other coal areas of NCL with its working efficiency. Director (Technical / Project and Planning) Shri P.M. Prasad said that with the coal production and productivity, the Krishashashila has also set a paradigm of performance in mines safety. Shri N.N Thakur, Director (Finance) said that the new workshop will further enhance the efficiency of Krishashila.
 
State of the Art Workshop is equipped with modern facilities like Dumper Repair Shop, Dozer and Face Equipment Repair Shop, Dozer Washing Station, Store Shade,  Sub-Station, Fire Fighting Station, Pump House Building, Store Yard, Open Service area, Security Post time Office, Overhead cranes are installed at the repair shop in the workshop. Apart from these, firefighting systems, pressurized lubrication systems, used oil transfer systems; ventilation systems and ample area for parking have been provided. The input cost of this state of the art workshop is approximately Rs 27 Crore.
 
GM Krishnashila Shri A. N. Pandey welcomed all while Project Officer Shri C. S. Tiwari presented a vote of thanks. In the program, the General Managers of various coal areas of NCL, General Manager of Headquarters, Head of the Departments and a large number of officers and workers were present.
 
Notably, the Krishnashila Area, established in 2007, is the youngest of all areas in the NCL.In the Financial Year, 2018-19 Krishnashila was given a target of 7 million tons of coal production and dispatch. Till date, the area has produced about 5.7 million tons of coal and dispatched 5.6 million tons of coal. Both production and dispatch are more than set target till date.
