CMD SJVN Conferred with ET Now Award for CEO with HR Orientation
Shimla: Shri Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN Limited has been conferred with the prestigious Award for CEO with HR Orientation while Mrs. Geeta Kapur, Director (Personnel) has been conferred with the prestigious Women Super Achiever Award. These awards are conferred by ET Now during World HRD Congress to the best-talented individuals in the industry private sector as well as public sector.
The awards are selected by the eminent jury members which consists of senior leaders, researchers and academicians based on the competency benchmarks including Strategic Perspective, Track Record, Ability for Sustainability, Future Orientation, Integrity and Ethics and HR Impact (Internal to the Organization) in the recognition of the best HR practices that are being followed in SJVN.
Change Management and Strategic HR in SJVN have been exhibited through the implementation of various innovative HR strategies in SJVN including revisiting the vision, mission and objective of SJVN. HR interventions made by management in SJVN has played a crucial role in the best performance of the company and its remodelling of the business plan. As an initiative of current management, a platform for vertical & horizontal communication has been established with name “SAMVAAD”, where any employee can have direct dialogue with management.
Effective implementation of Balanced Scorecard to achieve organizational targets has resulted in Excellent MOU rating for the past many years. Imparting minimum 2 man-days training to 90% employees in each financial year is one of the major achievement among the peers in the industry. Besides this company is presently implementing People Capability Maturity Model (PCCM) to further strengthen its HR processes.
SJVN has also witnessed positive changes amongst the stakeholders, be it the government, the general public or the communities affected due to project activities. This has been possible due to the innovative changes in the existing policies under the dynamic and synergetic leadership of current management.
