Calcutta. A no-objection certificate from the Bengal government can pave the way for Tamil Nadu-based public sector company NLC India (Neyveli Lignite) to pick up a 74 per cent equity stake in a joint venture entity with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) to operate the Raghunathpur thermal power plant, which was operating at low capacity.
 
Central government sources said the project had received clearances from the coal and power ministries. The Competition Commission of India has also granted a clearance in October. Telegraph
