Dr Ambedkar Jayanti celebrated in RINL
Visakhapatnam: RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant joined the Nation in celebrating the 128th Jayanti of Dr BR Ambedkar in Ukkunagaram on 14th April 2018.
Shri PK Rath, CMD, RINL paid rich tributes and garlanded the statue of Bharat Ratna Dr B R Ambedkar on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Rath said that Dr Ambedkar was a multi-faceted man, a social reformer, jurist, economist, author, excellent orator, scholar and thinker. He was the principal architect of Indian Constitution and independent India’s first law minister.
He was an outstanding leader of the Indian Freedom struggle and champion of down-trodden and backward sections of the society. As India’s freedom movement gained momentum, he utilized his formidable intellectual energies to strive tirelessly for political rights and social freedom for women, minorities and the socially underprivileged, he added. He called upon the employees to to follow the ideals practised by Br. Ambedkar.
Shri P Raychaudhury, Director (Commercial), Shri KC Das, Director (Personnel), Shri VV Venugopal Rao, Director (Finance), representatives of SC&ST Welfare Association, SEA, union leaders, WIPS also paid floral tributes to mark the occasion at Ambedkar Park in Ukkunagaram.
Shri Tirupathi Rao, Liaison Officer, SC&ST Cell presided over the meeting. Large number of employees and school children participated.
