GST outreach program in MRPL
Mangaluru: A GST Outreach Programme was organised in MRPL on July 17,2017 to sensitize the stake holders about the landmark tax reform introduced by the Government. Dr M Subramanyam, IRS, Commissioner of Central Excise & Central Tax (GST), Mangalore and Shri H G Pavitra KCTS, Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Admn.) & State GST were the chief guests on the occasion. Shri H Kumar, Managing Director, MRPL presided over the programme.
Shri Shankar S, IRS, Assistant Commissioner Central Excise & Central Tax (GST), Shri Shreyas K M IRS, Assistant Commissioner Service Tax & Central Tax (GST), Shri Hemaji Naik KCTS, Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Enforcement) & State GST, Shri Shambhu Bhat, KCTS, Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Enforcement.) & State GST also participated in the programme.
Shri AK Sahoo, Director Finance, MRPL and Shri Rajeev Kushvah, CVO, MRPL were also present on the occasion. The stakeholders, vendors, contractors and service providers of MRPL in good numbers took part in the programme.
Shri H Kumar, MD MRPL spoke on the occasion and said that the introduction of GST would benefit the economy. He cited the example of abolition of Check posts at the state borders which enables the free movement of goods which would result in increase in demand for HSD.
