Goa Ship Yard provided mobile toilets
PANJI: In line with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a nationwide campaign launched by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to accomplish the vision of “Clean India”, Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) has recently donated 4 nos. mobile toilets to the Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC).
GSL is also in the process of donating additional 2 nos. Mobile Toilets and the same would be handed over to MMC officials shortly. Over the years, GSL has been an active proponent towards a clean and green Vasco and staying fully committed to the said cause has built toilets at prominent locations and schools in and around the port city.
Realizing the challenges faced by local authorities in constructing permanent toilets structures, concomitant with the fact that the port city is witnessing tremendous influx of habitants, GSL pioneering in innovative practices decided to offset this impediment by donating mobile toilets which could be towed at will as per the requirement and convenience of MMC, thereby keeping pace in ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness standards as envisaged.
The mobile toilets at a financial implication of Rs. 22.72 lakhs were handed over by GSL, Director (CPP & BD), Cmde. B.B. Nagpal to Chief Officer of Mormugao Municipal Council, Smt. Deepali Naik, before an august gathering at Goa Shipyard Limited.
