HEC has Entered into an Agreement with OKBM

Ranchi: HEC has entered into an agreement with OKBM,  the unit of ROSATOM of Russia for the manufacture of various components of seven hundred Mega Watt nuclear power plant in the country. This is in line with the announcement of Hon’ble Prime Minister for setting up of ten numbers of pressurized heavy water reactor in India, wherein the indigenous capability of the country is being created.
 
A team consisting of Mr Nikita Mazein of Rosatom overseas, Mr Oleg Bykh and Mr. Oleg Shpara of OKBM Russia visited HEC from 17th Jan. 2018 - 20th Jan. 2018. They had detailed discussion with HEC team regarding modalities of technology transfer and future course of action in this regard. 
 
Once the above technology transfer is done, HEC will have a substantial business in nuclear power sectors and will be able to meet the country’s nuclear energy related requirement. It has also been agreed by OKBM to associate with HEC in all future requirement of nuclear power engineering and its allied products in line with the “Make in India” concept of the Govt. of India.
 
The agreement has been signed between HEC & OKBM in presence of Shri Avijit Ghosh, CMD, HEC.
