INS VIRAAT is being towed by SCI Mukta from Cochin
MUMBAI. ‘SCI Mukta’, an Anchor Handling & Towing Supply Vessel (AHTS) of the National Flagship Carrier i.e. The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd., (SCI) has commenced towing Indian Navy’s aircraft carrier ‘INS Viraat’ on October 23, from Cochin to Mumbai.
‘INS Viraat’ is on her last journey and the grand old ship is being towed to Mumbai for decommissioning. It is a matter of great privilege and honour for SCI that one of its offshore vessels ‘SCI Mukta’ has been selected for towing the ship on her last voyage. It will be decommissioned at Mumbai and is expected to arrive at Mumbai on 29.10.2016 . SCI is proud to play its part in this historic voyage of the grand ship ‘INS Viraat’.
