IOCL signed MoU with ALIMCO for Distribution of Aids and Assistive Devices to Divyangjans
Hyderabad: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Marketing Division, Telangana & Andhra Pradesh State Office) and Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) have signed a MoU on 6th July 2018 at IOCL TAPSO, Himayatnagar, Hyderabad for distributing Aids and Appliances worth Rs 65 lakhs at free of cost to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) of Cherlapally, Medchal District, Telangana State (Within 50 km radius of IOCL Cherlaplly Bottling plant) and Guntakal, Ananthapur District, Andhra Pradesh State (Within 50 km radius of IOCL Guntakal Railfed Depot) for FY 20-18-19 under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
The MoU was signed by Shri S S Prasad, General Manager (HR-CSR), IOCL & Shri K V Rajesh, Manager & Incharge Regional Marketing Center (Hyderabad) ALIMCO in the presence of Shri Rahul Bhardwaj Executive Director IOCL TAPSO and other top executives of IOCL.
IOCL has sponsored aids & appliances for approximately 500-600 Nos of PwDs. This major CSR initiative of IOCL will help the Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) to overcome the difficulties posed by their disability, thereby enabling them to lead a normal & productive life and making them fully independent. This effort will not only bring these underprivileged PwDs to the mainstream of life but will also contribute to the National economy.
