IRCTC to manage railway retiring rooms and dorms
New Delhi. Indian Railways is set to hand over the management and operation of its retiring rooms and dormitories to the IRCTC with a view to making better use of the existing infrastructure to improve amenities and services for passengers.
The mini-ratna enterprise will take charge of the retiring rooms and dormitories at the stations in a phased manner, renovate and refurbish them as necessary and make them available to passengers. It will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and marketing of these facilities.
