Inauguration of New Rail Welding Line by Union Minister for Steel
Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Hon’ble Union Minister for Steel and Mines, inaugurated and dedicated to the nation SAIL Bhilai Steel Plant’s modern Long Rail Welding Line (RWL) and Universal Rail Mill (URM) on 04.07.2016 under 7 MT MODEX Programme.
The entire Civil and structural work of URM and RWL has been executed by Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited in a record time in spite of facing innumerable constraints. .The inauguration of the Unit took place in the presence of Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Steel and Mines, Shri Prem Prakash Pandey, Hon’ble State Minister of Higher Education , Govt. of Chattisgarh, Smt. Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Ministry of Steel, Shri P.K Singh , Chairman, SAIL , Shri S. Chandrasekaran, CEO, Bhilai Steel Plant and Senior officials of HSCL and SAIL.
