CR is fast becoming a firmly integral part of annual reports. Today, all large Indian firms report on CR, compared with just 20 per cent of companies in 2011.

Apart from India, the Asia Pacific region has overtaken other areas on CR reporting rates. The sample of the KPMG survey includes reporting from 4,500 companies in 45 countries.
It also focuses on the quality of carbon reporting among the world’s 250 largest companies (G250) based on the 2014 Fortune 500 listing and offers advice on leading practices in corporate carbon reporting and how these companies measure up against key criteria.
