Inter Area Purchase and store competition Award-2015-16 ceremony held in WCL

Nagpur based Central Public Sector Enterprise, Western Coalfields Limited concluded Award ceremony of Inter Area Purchase and store competition today. The competition was held to achieve excellence in the function of both Area purchase and stores by the Materials Management Department of the company. The competition was conducted by a committee which inspected all the stores across the areas and based on the their performance the awards were announced for the winning ares and stores. During Award ceremony the jury announced, Kanhan Area of WCL as overall best Area, Sri Y. V. Ramana and entire Kanahan area team received the award.
 
Chandrapur and Umrer Areas were adjudged as the runner up and bagged the second awards. While addressing as Chief Guest, Chairman cum Managing Director of WCL Shri. Rajiv R. Mishra first congratulated the winning teams and guided materials management department to develop an app and task force for monitoring of materials management. He advised that the winner areas should adapt non winning areas to develop further excellence. Director (Technical), Shri. S. S. Malhi also shared his own experiences during the programme with the participants. Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director (Personnel) and Shri. S.M Chaudhary also congratulated the winning teams from the dias. 
 
The special awards were also given to best Stores personnel, for maximum efforts for Inventory reduction, for best housekeeping efforts, for maximum scrap disposal, Maximum efforts for inventory reduction of non- moving /obsolete items, best regional Stores and Best Area. The programme was conducted by Sh. Samant Ray. The welcome address was given by GM (MM) Shri. Sant Lal. Shri. B. S. Nagashetti, Chief Manager (MM) organized the programme with his team with great zeal and enthusiasm. Large number of staff / officers from H.Q and Areas attended the function.
