MECON Celebrates National Unity Day
Ranchi: Remembering Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's contribution in creating a modern India post independence, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) was celebrated in MECON.
The day kicked off with ‘Run for Unity’ which was started from JVM Shyamali School Gate No.1 at 7 am to E type Park, Shyamali Colony. With large banners, posters in hand, hundreds of JVM School Children and MECONian’s participated in this event. The run was flagged off by CMD MECON Shri Atul Bhatt.
Addressing the gathering, CMD MECON, Shri Atul Bhatt highlighted the great efforts made by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to unite India.
A Pledge of ‘Rastriya Ekta’ was administered by Shri P.K Sarangi, Director (Technical ) at Head Office, Ranchi. A Large number of MECONians took part in the Pledge Ceremony. On this occasion Shri P.K Polle, Executive Director and Shri U.K Kedia, CVO MECON were also present.
