Meeting of Bhubaneswar Town Official Language Implementation Committee at NALCO
Bhubaneswar: The 8th half-yearly meeting of Bhubaneswar Town Official Language Implementation Committee was organized at NALCO’s Corporate Office. Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO, presided over the meeting. In his address, Dr. Chand, expressed his pleasure for the special programs that were organised by the members to increase the use of Hindi in day to day official correspondence. Terming Hindi as a source for National Integrity, he stressed on increasing sales of products through releasing the advertisement in Hindi. Dr. Chand informed about NALCO’s Hindi Mobile App ‘NALCO NISARG' that is developed for disseminating company’s CSR activities.
On this occasion, the 4th issue of Hindi E-magazine ‘Ananta’ was released in the meeting, in which the interesting literary creation by the employees of CPSUs and highlights of special programs organised were published.
During the meeting, discussions were also held on organizing joint programs like Hindi Workshop, Hindi Competitions, Hindi Kavi Sammelan and constituting of sub-committees for propagating use of Hindi in Official work.
Shri Basant Kumar Thakur, Director (HR), NALCO, Shri Padma Charan Nayak, General Manager, BSNL, Shri Debasish Sahu, Jt. General Manager, Airport Authority of India, Shri P.K. Mishra, Director, NCDC, Shri Ashish Ekka, Chief Manager, HPCL, Shri Sanjay Kumar, DGM, FCI, Sri Ashok Tarik, Regional Direcotor (I/c), ESI, Smt. Ruchi Sharma, Regional Manager, HUDCO, Shri U.N.L.Chainulu, Branch Manager, ECGC, Shri Pradip Kalo, General Manager, CWC and Sr. Officers of other CPSUs of Bhubaneswar were also present on the occasion as the distinguished guests.
Hindi officers, Hindi Translators of above offices along with BPCL, IOCL, Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd., New India Assurance Co. Ltd., MMTC, NTPC, and other CPSUs of Bhubaneswar attended the meeting.
The meeting was coordinated by Shri Hariram Pansari, Member-secretary of the Committee and Sr.Manager (Rajbhasha) of NALCO.
