Mr Verghese Cherian Director leads IndianOil s Independence Day Celebrations
New Delhi: Mr Verghese Cherian, Director (HR), IndianOil led the Independence Day celebrations at the IndianOil Township in Noida, by unfurling the Tricolor, with hundreds of IOCians rendering the National Anthem with pride and partriotic fervor. In his address, Mr Cherian underlined the contribution of IndianOil in nation building over the years, and reminded IOCians of their vital role and responsibility in energising an ascendant India.
Mr. Cherian also administered the New India pledge for building a new and vibrant nation. He also presented the Long Service and Meritorious Children Awards while Mr. A K Sharma, Director (Finance), gave away prizes to the winners of the Swachh Bharat Fortnight and Hindi Competitions.
Children of migrant labours of Noida performed an evocative play on Swachh Bharat on the occasion. The IndianOil Ladies Club put together a vibrating cultural performance with around 100 kids symbolising the faith, hope and collective aspirations of the world's greatest democratic nation.
