NCL Celebrates 44th Foundation Day of Coal India Limited
Singrauli: Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) on 1st October celebrated 44th Foundation Day of its holding company Coal India Limited (CIL) with zeal. The central event was held in the Headquarters premises where homage was paid to coal martyrs at ‘Shaheed Smaarak’ followed by a moment of silence. Next, in the sequence, floral tributes were paid at Miner’s Idol and Coal India flag was hoisted after which all the attendees sang Coal India corporate song in unison. The General Manager (CSR) Shri Atmeshwar Pathak was present as Chief Guest of the occasion. The General Managers/HOD’s along with large number of employees and officers were also present.
On this occasion, Shri Pathak greeted every member of Coal India family and spoke on the strategic role of Coal India in the energy landscape of the nation. He said that miners are the pillars of the country's energy requirement and as a result of their incessant efforts the company is progressing leaps and bounds.
On this occasion, the celebrations of Coal India 44th Foundation Day function was broadcasted directly from Kolkata. The live programme, broadcasted across the coal areas and units of NCL, was watched by large number of internal and external stakeholders of the company. The Coal India Foundation Day was celebrated in all areas and units of NCL with various custumal and varied events signifying the day.
Notably, Coal India Limited was founded on November 1, 1975 and NCL is one of its leading subsidiaries.
