NCL Celebrates International Yoga Day Organises Multiple Yoga Sessions
Northern Coalfields Limited: To promote healthy living, NCL and its areas celebrated International Yoga Day with supreme verve. Yoga Day celebrations in Headquarters started at 6 am with company officials, employees, their families and locals performing yoga in stadium situated at Corporate Headquarter in Singrauli. Addressing the gathering, General Manager (Personnel/Welfare), Shri T.B.Raju lauded people for turning up in huge numbers and extended Yoga Day greetings to all stakeholders.
Different areas of NCL also organised various yoga sessions and marked the celebration of third International Yoga Day. In this sequence, Yoga session was organised in Bina Area from 6 am onwards where asanas for relieving stress and leading a healthy life were demonstrated by experts. General Manager, Bina, Shri Bipin Kumar was present throughout the session and appreciated employees for coming together in pronounced numbers for attending morning yoga.
Yoga session was also carried out in Dudhichua Area where Shri.O.K.Prasad, General Manager, Dudhichua felicitated yoga experts for their contribution in yoga centre. The centre has been running continuously since last year and remains abuzz with active participation of people throughout the year.
Jayant Area organised yoga sessions in Officer’s Club and Worker’s Club with 200 participants including General Manager, Jayant, Shri A.K.Choudhary performing yoga with other employees.
In Jhingurda Area, celebration of yoga day started in Officer’s Club from 7am in which General Manager, Jhingurda, Shri. Chitranajan Singh and 80 employees performed yoga.
Yoga Day celebrations at Khadia Area began with morning yoga session where General Manager, Khadia, Shri. A.N.Pandey and his team performed yoga in Worker’s Club. Later in the evening, another session was organised exclusively for ladies where President, Sanjeevni Mahila Samiti, Smt.Mamta Pandey and team Mahila Mandal performed yoga under the guidance of experts.
In Nigahi Area, the day came as an added jubilation for members already practicing yoga in ‘10-day Yoga Camp’ from 19th June to 28th June. However, the participation on International Yoga Day outnumbered previously enrolled members and batch size was later increased to accommodate more people. On this occasion, General Manager, Nigahi, Shri Chanchal Goswami extended his greetings and stressed on importance of leading a healthy life.
In Nehru Shatabdi Chikitsalaya, celebration of yoga day was flagged off by Dr.I.B.Mishra, CMS NCL by lighting the lamp, after which a video on common yoga protocol was streamed. 50 participants learned about yoga postures under the guidance of yoga trainer.
Multiple yoga sessions were also organised in other areas / units of NCL where employees, their families and representatives of trade unions came together to celebrate third International Yoga Day with enthusiasm.
