NCL Organises Health Cum Safety Counselling for Employees

Singrauli: NCL Amlohri Area organised 'Health-cum-Safety Counselling' on Friday for employees and their families. General Manager Amlohri, Shri S.K.Gomasta was present as Chief Guest on the occasion.
 
Addressing the gathering, Shri Gomasta talked about the importance of work-life balance and said employees should strike the balance between production-productivity issues and the family life. He further stressed that all the employees and their families should undergo periodic medical check-ups; thereby establishing the prominence of preventive approach over curative.
 
Families of 177 employees participated in the programme translating into a total 481 participants. The medical team of Amlohri Area administered medical check-ups and advised on health-related issues.
 
A PowerPoint presentation was also staged in the programme to create 'Safety Awareness' among the participants. The counselling session also highlighted the role of the family in determining the physical and mental health of employees.
 
Notably, NCL will be organising 'Annual Mines Safety Week' from January 15, 2018 to January 21, 2018; beginning of which will be marked by flag hoisting and oath-taking ceremonies in NCL Headquarters premises on Monday at 10 a.m. Chairman-cum-Managing Director NCL Shri P.K.Sinha will grace the occasion as Chief Guest. Director (Personnel), Ms.Shantilata Sahu, Director (Technical/Operations) Shri Gunadhar Pandey & Director (Finance) Shri P.S.R.K.Sastry will be the guests of honour. During the week, various thematic programmes will be undertaken by the coal producing areas and service units of NCL.
