NCL releases FAQs booklet on GST
Singrauli: In yet another move of bracing the new tax regime through phased awareness drives, NCL released a booklet on Goods and Services Tax in FAQ format on Monday, 3rd July.
Director Finance, Shri. P.S.R.K. Sastry said that NCL has helped its stakeholders in getting GST-ready through systematic roll-out of awareness drives on the new tax regime. Speaking on the booklet, he said that it is designed on FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) format and provides solutions and answers to common queries on GST.
Prior to this, NCL organised ‘Vendors Meet on GST implementation’ on Wednesday, June 28th at Officer’s Club, NCL Headquarters where Director(Operations), Shri Gunadhar Pandey and Director (Finance) Shri P.S.R.K.Sastry addressed delegates from various firms, companies and other associates of NCL. 38 delegates representing nearly 25 companies participated in the said event.
NCL also institutionalised ‘GST Helpdesk’ which remained operational till 30th June 2017 and provided necessary help for vendor registration and other pre-GST procedures. Later, the helpdesk migrated from kiosk format to regular format and is now a continuing feature at Corporate Taxation Cell of NCL Headquarter during working hours.
On 1st July, Director (Finance) issued a message stating that NCL has taken all steps to be technically equipped to generate coal sale bills and other requisite forms/challans as per GST notifications.
NCL has intoduced a flash called ‘GST Awareness’ on homepage of its website (nclcil.in). The said flash redirects to important links which contains messages issued by the Director(Finance), provisional GST ID’s of NCL and other requisite forms and formats.
