NLCIL EMPLOYEEs PLI PREMIUM CROSSES

Neyveli: Postal Life Insurance is an Insurance scheme being promoted by Department of Posts, Government of India.  All Government employees and those working in Central Public Sector Enterprises are encouraged to take Postal Life Insurance for their life coverage.
  
As a gesture to encourage more coverage under this scheme, the Public Sector employers recover the insurance premium from the salary every month and remit to the Head Post Office concerned. NLC India Limited is also promoting coverage of employees under Postal Life Insurance Scheme.  Recently, the monthly premium being remitted in respect of employees of NLCI Limited has crossed Rupees one crore.
 
In a simple function held at NLCIL’s Regional Office, Chennai a blow up cheque for value of Rs. 1,01,00,800 /- (Rupees One Crore one lakh eight hundred only) was handed over by Dr. S.K. Acharya, Chairman and Managing Director, NLCIL to Shri Thomas Lourdraj, IPS, Director, Postal Services Central Region, Trichy on 20.07.2017 in the presence of all the Functional Directors Shri Rakesh Kumar, Director(Finance), Shri Subir Das, Director (Mines), Shri V. Thangapandian, Director(Power), Shri P. Selvakumar, Director(P&P) and Shri R. Vikraman, Director(HR). Shri S. Maheswaran, Executive Director and Chief Regional Manager, Chennai Office, NLCI Limited. Shri R. Venkadesan, Sr. Departmental Development Officer, PLI, Chennai and Postal Life Insurance team participated in the event.
