NLCIL imparts training to the members of Self Help Groups on Sanitation

Neyveli: NLCIL organized a workshop on Sanitation for the students and members of the SHGs at the Kali Temple Premises in Keezhmampattu Village, near Kadampuliyur  this morning (29.08.2017) as a part of the Cleanliness Fortnight (16.08.2017-31.08.2017). The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Cell, the members of the Neyveli Chapter of the Women in Public Sector (WIPs) and the Public coordinated the event. Dr. Hafeeza, Superintendent (Medical), Government Head Quarters Hospital, Cuddalore District participated and addressed the 200 women and girls on Personal & Environmental Hygiene. A skit  on hygiene was enacted by team WIPS,CSR,SHGs and toiletry kit was provided free of cost to the participants. 

The Education Department of our company organized a lecture session for the benefit of the students by Dr Jawaharlal, Dy. Director, Health Services, Government of Tamil Nadu, Cuddalore District. About 300 students of Neyveli Schools participated in the session that began with a inter-active session. Dr Jawaharlal, explained in detail about the causes of fever like Dengue, Malaria & Chickengunia and the mode of spreading and suggested preventive measures. An audio/video animation was also screened through animation on the subjects. Shri V.Renganathan,ED/SME(Mines), Shri R.Mohan,CGM (Edn,CSR&SDC) were present on the occasion.
