NMDC observes Vigilance Awareness Week

HYDERABAD. Vigilance Awareness Week was observed in NMDC from from October 31 to November 5 with the administration of pledge by Dr Narendra K Nanda, Director (Technical), to all employees. 
 
During the week-long celebrations, various vigilance awareness programmes and competitions were organised. Quiz and elocution competitions were conducted for all employees wherein a large number of employees participated. A vendor meet was also conducted wherein over 40 vendors participated. 
 
A talk on ‘Vigilance in Personal Finances’ by P Sarath Kumar, Chartered Accountant, M/s. Sarath & Associates, was organised wherein more than 100 employees participated and competitions such as essay writing, elocution, debates, quiz and panel discussions on moral values, ethics, good government practices were held for inculcating awareness on corruption and anti-corruption measures at various schools and colleges.The Tribune 
 
n the concluding day, S Narsing Rao, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Govt. of Telangana, was the chief guest. He stressed the need of self-vigilance among all public servants to have a corruption-free India and advised the students to nurture good habits of ethics and integrity in their day to day life. He said public participation was important in eradicating corruption and students being the future citizens of India have a major role to play towards that goal.
 
The function was attended by Dr Narendra K. Nanda, Director (Technical); Dr TRK Rao, Director (Commercial); PK Satpathy, Director (Production); DS Ahluwalia, Director (Finance) and other senior officials of NMDC.
