NMDC organized Tripartite Safety Committee Meeting
New Delhi: NMDC organized the 28th Corporate Level Tripartite Safety Committee Meeting of Kirandul, Bacheli, Donimalai and Panna Mines at Hyderabad on 23.10.2017.
Shri N. Baijendra Kumar, IAS, CMD, Functional Directors of NMDC, Officials of Directorate General of Mines Safety of Western & Southern Zone, General Manager, Mines Managers, Safety Officers, Occupational Health Doctors of NMDC and Representatives of Unions attended the meeting.
In the meeting in-depth analysis of mine accidents, safety initiatives and improvements, safety measures to be taken to achieve zero harm were discussed.Shri N. Baijendra Kumar emphasized that NMDC has improved safety standards in its mines and would further improve upon in order to reach the highest level of safety standards to attain zero abrasion. He further assured that safety standards in every sphere of mining will be improved through continuous monitoring so as to become the safest eco-friendly miner of the Nation.
