NRDC Licensed a Technology on Recycling of Waste Plastic into Useful Tiles

New Delhi: National Research Development Corporation, and CSIR-National Physical Laboratory (NPL), New-Delhi has signed a Technology Licensing Agreement with M/s. Vyzag Bio-Energy Fuel Private Limited, Visakhapatnam for commercializing process of 'Recycling of Waste Plastic into Useful Tiles' at New-Delhi on 22nd June at CSIR, Head Quarters, Anusandhan Bhawan, New-Delhi.
 
The technology was developed by CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi. The Licensing Agreement is signed by Dr. H. Purushotham, Chairman & Managing Director, NRDC, Shri. K. S. Raju, Director, M/s. Vyzag Bio-Energy Fuel Pvt. Ltd., & Dr. Nahar Singh Industry Liaison Officer, CSIR-NPL, New Delhi and the agreement was exchanged in the august presence of Director General CSIR and Secretary DSIR, Dr. Girish Sahni, Shri. K. R. Vaidheeswaran, Joint Secretary, DSIR & CSIR, Dr. Anjan Ray, Head, RPPBD, CSIR-HQ, Dr. D. K. Aswal, Director, NPL, Dr. S.K. Dhawan, and other senior officials of CSIR and NRDC.
 
India generates about 15,000 tonnes of plastic waste every day its safe disposal is a huge challenge and big menace to environment, this technology offers a cost-effective solutions in solving the societal problems and produces wealth from the waste by way of producing useful products like, tiles for paver blocks, tiles, roof blocks and many more things.
