NRDC inks Pact with CIPAM for Establishing TISC Center
Visakhapatnam: NRDC signed Agreement with CIPAM, Department of Industrial Promotion Policy, Govt of India for Establishing the 3rd UN-WIPO-Technology Innovation Support Centre in India at NRDC-IPFC at Visakhapatnam in the august presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri N. Chandra Babu Naidu and Hon’ble Union Minister of Ministry of Commerce & Industry Shri Suresh Prabhu during CII Partnership Summit held at Vishakhapatnam.
The agreement was signed and exchanged between Dr. H. Purushotham, Chairman & Managing Director, NRDC and Dr. Ashish Kumar, Sr. Development Officer, DIPP. Senior officials of CIPAM and NRDC are also present during the agreement signing ceremony.
The TISC provides value added services such as, Access to online patent and non-patent (scientific and technical) resources and IP-related publications, Assistance in searching and retrieving technology information, Training in database search, On-demand searches (novelty, state-of-the-art and infringement), Monitoring technology and competitors, Basic information on industrial property laws, management and strategy, and technology commercialization and marketing to the researchers, entrepreneurs and start-ups.
