NTPC organises HR Meet : HR should be seen as a business partner
MUMBAI. Shri Saptarshi Roy, Director (HR), NTPC Ltd inaugurated NTPC HR Meet organised at Mumbai. A galaxy of HR professionals from different parts of the country participated in the meet . In his address, to the HR professionals, which was beamed live to various stations of NTPC through video conferencing, he emphasised that HR should be seen as a business partner, change agent and talent manager. More than 90 executives of HR are participating in the two day deliberations.
Thus he said we should focus on three key deliverables culture, leadership and talent in HR. He spoke at length on the new and proposed HR initiatives at NTPC and congratulated the employees for achieving the goal of 50,000 MW generation.
Shri Subhasis Ghosh, RED (WR-I) highlighted the key role played by WR-I in capacity addition in 2016-17 and also emphasised on the vital role of HR in business processes and partnering with the Company’s vision. Shri A K Bhatnagar, ED (PMI) was also present.
Shri D S Rao, GM (HR) welcomed the participants and briefed them on the two day program. A panel discussion was also held which was chaired by eminent faculty from the HR fraternity.
A seminar of National importance was held at ICG, Donapaula-Goa during 12-14 May 2017. The seminar was inaugurated by Ms Padma Jaiswal, IAS, Secretary (Labour & Employment), Government of Goa and the seminar was attended by top Government Officials /
Academicians / Trade Union Leaders and IR Practitioners such as Shri A. K. Nayak, Chief Labour Commissioner of India, Shri. Rajen Mehrotra, Ex- President, IRII, Shri. P C Verma, Ex Dean & Prof. Shri.
