NTPC signs pact with NSDF, NSDC for skill development
NEW DELHI. NTPC Limited has entered into the MoU with Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (NSDF – National Skill Development Fund) and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and allocated Rs. 6.50 Cr. from its CSR Fund for year 2015-16 and 2016-17 for various skill development programs. These skill development projects will be pursued at 22 locations with special focus on the eastern states/ part of the country where NTPC power plants are located. 5000 youths will be trained in various vocational skill sets.
The tripartite MoU was signed by Shri. Pawan Agrawal, IAS, Jt. Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India (NSDF), Shri U.P. Pani Director (HR), NTPC and Shri Dilip H Chenoy, MD & CEO, NSDC.
