NTPC thrust on improving efficiency
jspl KARIMNAGAR,. NTPC Director (operations) Shri KK Sharma on Thursday inaugurated the 16th Regional Operational Performance Review (ROPR) at NTPC Ramagundam on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, he stressed the need for the company to progress and the challenges it has to face in the changing scenario with special thrust on improving efficiency in production and protection of environment. He also highlighted the importance of reducing the production cost and safety at the work place.
During the review meeting, issues pertaining to power generation, progress, hurdles and the plans ahead of southern region’s thermal power plants were discussed in detail. Mr Sharma also interacted with young executives and motivated them to give their best to achieve both personal and organisational growth with thrust on Involvement, Reliability, Affordability and Availability (IRAA).
Along with senior officials, Sharma visited prominent locations of the Ramagundam power station. Later, he also interacted with office bearers of different union and associations. Earlier, he inaugurated the Safety Induction Centre and asked all to make it habit to use Personal Protective Equipments (PPE) for safety.
NTPC regional executive director VB Fadnavis, NTPC Ramagundam executive director Prasant Kumar Mohapatra, ED (OS) SK Roy, GM (O&M) UK Das Gupta, GM (operations) VM Rajan, GM (new project) MN Prasad, GM (maintenance) Y Srinivas, GM (FM) Mathew Vargheese and other officials were also present.
