PNB Launches new products for customers on its Foundation Day
New Delhi. Punjab National Bank celebrated its 123rd Foundation Day and on the occasion Smt. Usha Ananthasubramanian, MD & CEO of the bank launched three new products for customers viz. Automated electronic Toll Collection to facilitate hassle free toll payment/collection, Credit Card Mobile App and Scheme for financing Grid connected Roof Solar Power Project. One Mobile App was launched for employees to facilitate them to do HR related operations through mobile phone.
Four eminent personalities Padma Bhushan Dr. Venugopal, renowned Cardiovascular surgeon and former Dean and Director of AIIMS, Dr. Tessy Thomas, first Woman Engineer to head a missile project in India fondly called Agni Putri, Padma Shri Sister Sudha Varghese, a Social Worker and Padma Shri Sudarsan Pattnaik, renowned Sand Artist were honoured and their contributions in their respective fields recognized by the Bank.
The Bank also honoured one of its employees Shri Chandra Deo Choudhary with cash award and out of turn promotion for exhibiting extraordinary courage by chasing and nabbing armed dacoits who looted Bank’s money risking his life. CSR activities like Blood Donation Camps, Health Checkup camps, Donation of computers to schools, Tree plantation, Walkathon, etc. also formed part of the celebrations in different parts of the country.
