REC partners with MoSJE under CSR

New Delhi, : REC has committed financial assistance of nearly Rs. 3 crore under its CSR initiatives to Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research, Cuttack (SVNIRTAR), an autonomous Institute under the Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE), for setting up of a state-of-the-art Modular Operation Theatre and other advanced medical equipment in the Institute for upgrading its infrastructure for locomotor rehabilitation services for patients with disabilities on account of Polio, Cerebral Palsy, congenital limb deformities and reconstructive surgeries for leprosy cured persons, etc.
The tripartite Memorandum of Agreement was signed in New Delhi on 8th May 2014 by P. J. Thakkar, Director (Technical), REC, O.P. Dogra, Director, Department of Disability Affairs, MoSJE, and R.N. Mohanty, Director, SVNIRTAR, ,  in the presence of Stuti Kacker, Secretary, Department of Disability Affairs, MoSJE, Awanish Awsathi, JS, Department of Disability Affairs, MoSJE, Rajeev Sharma, CMD, REC, Ajeet Kumar Agarwal, Director (Finance), REC, besides other senior officials from REC and MoSJE.
