RINL launches Solid Waste Management programme
Visakhapatnam: RINL, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant launched a door to door collection of wastes as a Pilot Project in Sector-2 in Ukkunagaram as part of Solid Waste Management by the Public Health Department of Town Administration. To further enhance the green environment in the township, the wastes will be segregated into wet and dry component and will be handed over to the workers. The facility will be extended to other sectors soon.
RINL has already taken up several activities under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and this particular project will further help in sustaining the swachh movement in Ukkunagaram.
Sri P Raychaudhury, Director (Commercial) RINL flagged off the campaign in the presence of Sri KC Das, Director (Personnel) and Sri VV Venugopal Rao, Director (Finance) today in Ukkunagaram.
Sri RP Srivatsav, Executive Director (Corporate Services), Sri MVRV Prasad, GM(TA), Sri A Prabhu Das, DGM(PH), senior officials of Town Admn, CSR, representatives of unions, WIPS etc participated.
