SAIL stall in national vendor development program for SC-ST entrepreneurs organized by at DICCI
New Delhi: SAIL's stall in National Vendor Development Program for SC-ST Entrepreneurs organized by at DICCI evokes immense interest Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) participated in the National Vendor Development Program (NVDP) with the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Ministry of Steel today at Bhim Hall, Dr. Ambedkar International Center, New Delhi for SC/ST entrepreneurs. SAIL had put up a familiarization stall and also gave a detailed presentation during this, in reaching out to SC/ST vendors and potential stakeholders who could be benefited through #NVPD. The Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan visited the event and addressed the gathering.
SAIL regularly holds vendor awareness/development programs for SC/ST vendors and during 2019 several workshops and vendor development programs under SC/ST HUB Scheme have been held across SAIL Plants. The Company has especially identified jobs for MSEs (SC/ST & Women) including engineering services such as material testing, structural audits, lighting surveys, instruments calibrations, etc, construction & maintenance services, engineering spares supplies, printing & stationery, canteen supplies, health & hygiene supplies, safety PPE supplies(hand gloves), apparels & uniforms (boiler suits) among others.
