SCOPE organises National Program on Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Change
NEW DELHI: SCOPE organised National Program on “Sustainable Development Goals & Climate Change”, today at New Delhi, which was inaugurated by Dr. Madhukar Gupta, IAS, Additional Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises (DPE).
In his welcome address Director General, SCOPE, Dr. U. D. Choubey said that with investment of over 11 Lakh Crore, Public Sector Enterprises are well regulated so that they meet the socio-economic goals of the country. DG, SCOPE said that enhanced resources for the enterprises, innovation & research centres are must for Sustainable Development and climate change.
Delivering the special address, Chairman, SCOPE and CMD, MMTC, Mr. Ved Prakash said that PSEs have the responsibility of carrying out the Government's agenda and he hoped that PSEs will certainly bring new revolution of sustainable growth and climate change.
In his address, Dr. Madhukar Gupta said that PSEs need to set an example of simplicity in order to achieve sustainable development and climate change.
Mr. Damandeep Singh, Director, CDP India & Lead Resource Person of the program presented the program perspective. Mr. Santanu Roy, ED (SD), GAIL proposed the vote of thanks.
